<br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 310 06 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF REMNANT LOT 5-A-1, BEING PORTIONS <br /> OF TAX MAP KEYS: (3)2-4-019:075 AND 158, SITUATE AT WAIAKEA, DISTRICT OF <br /> SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, TO ROY MASARU HAMADA AND <br /> SHIZUKO HAMADA. <br /> WHEREAS, as part of the Kawailani Street Improvements, `Iwalani Street to Pohakulani <br /> Street, the County of Hawaii acquired Tax Map Keys: (3)2-4-019:075 and 158; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County consolidated and subdivided Tax Map Keys: (3)2-4-019:075 and <br /> 158; thereby creating a new right-of--way (Parcel 21) to provide a connection between Ainaola <br /> Drive and Pohakulani Street and also widen the Pohakulani Street right-of--way, and Remnant <br /> Lots 5-A-1 and 5-B-1 (see Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto); and <br /> WHEREAS, the present intersection of Ainaola Drive and Pohakulani Street will be <br /> closed and Pohakulani Street will end in a cul-de-sac; and <br /> WHEREAS, the property abutting the newly created Remnant Lot 5-A-1 is owned by <br /> Roy Masaru Hamada and Shizuko Hamada ("Hamadas"), who have expressed a desire to acquire <br /> Remnant Lot 5-A-1; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hamadas desire to acquire Remnant Lot 5-A-1 through the process <br /> established by Section 2-118, Hawaii County Code, for disposal of County real property without <br /> auction as a remnant, as partial compensation for property to be acquired from them; and <br /> <br />
