WHEREAS, the County, through its Department of Public Works, finds that <br /> Remnant R-2 is economically or physically unsuitable or undesirable for development or <br /> utilization as a separate unit by reason of location, size, shape, or other characteristics. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII, that Remnant Lot 5-A-1, containing an area of 5,051 square feet, and identified as <br /> being a portion of Tax Map Keys: (3)2-4-018:075 and 158, situate at Waiakea, District of South <br /> Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, more fully described in Exhibit "A" and delineated on <br /> Exhibit "B" attached hereto, is declared to be a remnant because it is economically or physically <br /> unsuitable or undesirable for development or utilization as a separate unit by reason of its <br /> location, size, shape, or other characteristics, pursuant to Section 2-110, Hawaii County Code. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that inasmuch as Remnant Lot 5-A-1 is a remnant, the <br /> County of Hawaii is hereby authorized to sell Remnant Lot 5-A-1 without recourse to public <br /> auction in the manner set forth in Section 2-118, Hawaii County Code, to Roy Masaru Hamada <br /> and Shizuko Hamada, the abutting owners. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to: (1) Mayor <br /> <br /> Harry Kim; (2) Finance Director William Takaba; (3) Bruce C. McClure, Director of Public <br /> Works; (4) Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase; and (5) James Masaru Hamada and <br /> Shizuko Hamada, 410 Pohakulani Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720. <br /> 2 <br /> <br />
