REQUEST: <br /> <br /> Request council approval to change source funding from federal grant funding to county funding. <br /> These 2 positions, PA-00024 and PA-00025, have participated in Hawaii County's drug prosecution effort for <br /> which funding will end in May 2006. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> These two deputy prosecuting attorney positions were created in 2003 with federal funds through the Hawaii <br /> Community Foundation as a component of the County's war against Ice. Their work is a key component of <br /> law enforcement efforts to hold offenders accountable and to curtail future drug activity.
