The amendment is as <br /> follows: <br /> From: <br /> 3305.38 Healing Our Island General $100,000 <br /> 3305.39 Adolescent Drug Prevention Program 380,000 <br /> 3305.40 Community Anti-Drug Efforts 100,000 <br /> 3305.41 Hawaii County Resource Center Anti-Drug Fund 50,000 <br /> Total $630,000 <br /> To: <br /> 010-111-5111.57 Healing Our Island General $100,000 <br /> 010-111-5111.58 Adolescent Drug Prevention Program 380,000 <br /> 010-111-5111.59 Community Anti-Drug Efforts 100,000 <br /> 010-111-5111.60 Hawaii County Resource Center Anti-Drug Fund 50,000 <br /> Total $630,000 <br /> The State of Hawaii Legislature enacted Act 178, Session Laws of Hawaii 2005, which <br /> appropriated, in part, $630,00 for the County of Hawaii to continue its anti-drug abuse efforts. <br /> The funds will be utilized by providing grants to community organizations to undertake projects <br /> that promote drug prevention and awazeness and education, and for a youth mentoring program <br /> to help Hawai`i's youth avoid drugs and addiction. <br /> Bill No. 239, Draft 2, dated Mazch 6, 2006, was referred to Your Committee, from Director of <br /> Finance William Takaba. The organizations involved or receiving funding from the Adolescent <br /> Drug Prevention Program ($380,000) and the Hawaii County Resource Center Anti-Drug Fund <br /> ($50,000) will be paid for their services directly from the State. Therefore, funding for these two <br /> programs do not need to be appropriated. Draft 2 of Bill 239 appropriates $100,000 each to the <br /> Healing Our Island and the Community Anti-Drug Effort accounts. <br /> FC REPORT NO. 250 <br /> <br />
