Higa, Chairman <br /> And Members of the Hawai'i County Council <br /> Page 2 <br /> April 12, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br /> Adjustment, to recognize and designate the Kunieda ARC Local Redevelopment Authority <br /> as the local redevelopment authority for the Kunieda Reserve Center, and to confer upon <br /> the Kunieda ARC Local Redevelopment Authority, all powers and authorities of a local <br /> redevelopment authority applicable under base closure law and regulation. <br /> <br /> The Department of Defense has a deadline of April 15th for receiving requests for <br /> recognition of a local redevelopment authority. Attached is a response memo from the <br /> Mayor's Office to the Director of Economic Adjustment indicating that the County will be <br /> unable to meet that deadline but that a Council resolution is forthcoming.
