~YY Oi I~~ <br /> ~'`V 'fr <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ••ri oi'M~+ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. any <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br /> A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the 4`" of July is a national celebration commemorating the adoption of <br /> the Declaration of Independence in 1776; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Lehua Jaycees invites <br /> the public to attend "Blast 2006," an alcohol free, drug free and litter free event, on Tuesday, <br /> July 4, 2006, at the Mo`oheau Park Bandstand in Downtown Hilo from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the American privateer, LYNX, arrives in Hilo Harbor on July 3, 2006, <br /> as part of the 4`" of July celebration; and <br /> WHEREAS, LYNX, which was launched on July 28, 2001, is a replica of a naval <br /> schooner from the War of 1812, and its mission is to preserve American heritage through <br /> maritime education; and <br /> WHEREAS, the entertainment for the 4`" of July "Blast 2006" will include LYNX's <br /> canon firing, the Hiccup Circus, Ho`okani Pila, ICristopher Fuchigami, Brittni Paiva, the <br /> Hawaii County Band, and the Lehua Jaycees' fireworks exhibition; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds ($2,000) from Council District 3 will be <br /> appropriated towards the 4`" of July "Blast 2006" event at the request of the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation and the Lehua Jaycees. <br /> <br />
