The Hilo Bay Watershed Advisory Group strongly supports placing the
2% set-aside measure on the 2006 fall General Election ballot. We firmly
believe that this vital decision should come before the voters of Hawai'i County.
The people who are residents of our precious island deserve to have their voices
heard regarding this issue.

Although our group's focus is the watershed flowing into Milo Bay, we recognize
the interdependence of all areas of our island. We therefore add our support to
this effort to secure funding that will enable the future purchase and preservation
of prime areas of the `aina of Hawai'i Island Our land, our waters, and all living
plants and beings deserve no less.

Thank you for your serious consideration of placing the initiative on the fail
General Election ballot. Much of importance depends on your decision today.
Mahalo.

Sincerely,

(3'n"It

Susan O'Neill, Spokesperson
Steering Committee
Hilo Bay Watershed Advisory Group

Comm.
