CURRENT TITLE PAY GRADE <br /> COMMENTS: <br /> This position is essential to achieve the Departmental Goal of providing improvements to County roads, flood <br /> control and public service facilities to support the public's transportation and safety needs in a timely manner. <br /> The purposes of this position is to increase the Department's ability to deliver Capital Improvement Program <br /> projects and design services for Highway Maintenance, Traffic, and Building Divisions. When developing our <br /> overall County CIP program and considering the County's ability to fund projects, we estimate a steady source of <br /> CIP funding combined with Fuel Tax revenues to back proposed projects. <br /> Our goal is to double the number of projects we can contract out each year for the next 10 years or until we can <br /> catch up with our deteriorating and inadequate infrastructure. <br /> <br /> This request position is one of two CE IVs requested during the Fiscal Year 2006-2007 budget process.
