Previously, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation <br /> Service (NRCS) had provided $300,000 to the County of Hawai'i for reimbursement of <br /> consultant fees necessary to prepare a plan to provide flood protection to homes along <br /> Kaumana Drive between Chong Street and one-half mile above Wilder Road.
