The County may also decrease the level of a Base Line Service within the District <br /> when necessary due to an emergency, but shall restore the Service to the level <br /> before the emergency as soon as possible. <br /> (e) Any increase in the County as a whole of the level of a service comparable to <br /> a Base Line Service within the District shall be matched with an increase in such <br /> Service within the District, in proportion to the increase of the compazable service <br /> in the County as a whole. <br /> <br /> 8. Base Line Plus Services. In addition to the Base Line Services, and in support of the <br /> <br /> District Association's mission statement, the County will provide "Base Line Plus <br /> <br /> Services" as follows, at no chazge to the District Association: <br /> (a) The County's Department of Finance shall, on behalf of and for the District <br /> Association, (i) levy and collect the Assessments and disburse the Assessments to <br /> the District Association, and (ii) enforce and foreclose on the lien of the <br /> Assessments in such manner and at such times agreed to by the County and the <br /> Board in writing. <br /> (b) The HPD will provide training to the Information & Safety Officers so that <br /> they may perform their roles as professionally, safely, and efficiently as possible <br /> in cooperation with the HPD. <br /> 9. Indemnification and Insurance. <br /> (a) The District Association shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the <br /> County and its officers and employees against any claim azising out of an act or <br /> omission of the District Association or its Board, directors, officers, employees, <br /> contractors, or agents in executing this Plan or otherwise performing the duties of <br /> the District. <br /> (b) The District Association shall also obtain and maintain in force insurance <br /> against liability azising out of an act or omission of the District Association or its <br /> Boazd, directors, officers, or employees in executing this Plan or otherwise <br /> performing the duties of the District. The Board shall have the authority to <br /> determine what level of insurance coverage is sufficient for the District <br /> Association. <br /> This subsection shall not be construed as preventing the District Association from <br /> obtaining and maintaining in force other classes or types of insurance. <br /> Exhibit "A" <br /> (Page 9 of 9) <br /> <br />
