HSAC Mid-Year Conference, December 10-12, 1997 <br /> A request for an $1,000 advance for the planning of the HSAC Mid-Year <br /> Conference from President Mansho to HSAC Executive Committee dated November <br /> 5, 1997 was approved by the Executive Committee.. <br /> B. Privatization <br /> The purpose of this item is to act on a resolution requesting the Governor and the <br /> State Legislature to give priority attention to addressing and resolving matters <br /> relating to privatization. See Honolulu Council Resolution 97-339. <br /> This resolution complements Maui's privatization proposal for the 1998 HSAC <br /> Legislative Package. <br /> C. HSAC End-of--Year Conference <br /> It was reported that the 1998 HSAC Year-End Conference will be on Kauai. Maui <br /> will be hosting the 1998 HSAC Mid-Year Conference. Dates will be announced <br /> later. <br /> VII. COMMUNICATIONS <br /> The following communications were placed on file: <br /> A. From President Mansho to NACo President Randy Johnson, dated October 6, 1997, <br /> regarding the NACo annual dues increase. <br /> B.
