Should installation of the North Kona Effluent Reuse <br /> Upgrade infrastructure (from Honokahau Harbor to Kohanaiki) occur after completion of the State <br /> DOT highway widening project, there will likely be significantly higher costs and tremendous <br /> negative impact to traffic flow. <br /> Due to anticipated increased project costs by approximately 55%, and the State DOT's requirement <br /> of additional funds to cover contingency, construction engineering and administration costs, we are <br /> increasing the FY2007-08 appropriation request by $4,095,000 bringing the total requested <br /> appropriation to $4,895,000. The funding source is expected to be County G.O.
