FmHA Instruction 1944-1 <br /> Exhibit F-1 <br /> Page 2 <br /> (2) The presence within the geographical area(s) of all <br /> environmental conditions such as excessive noise levels, radon <br /> gas, inadequate water supply or sewage treatment, contaminatioc <br /> from toxic, hazardous, or radioactive substances, seismic <br /> conditions, a violation of an ambient air quality standard(s) <br /> resulting from emissions from a major facility, or any other <br /> health/safety hazards known to the applicant; and <br /> (3) The potential for properties to be assisted by the <br /> applicant's program to be located in or impacted by the <br /> conditions described in paragraphs (1) and (2) of this section. <br /> (b) For each box checked "Yes" in item 3, describe the nature of the <br /> effect on the resource. If one or more of boxes 17 thru 22 is <br /> checked "Yes" or "Unknown," contact FmHA for instructions relating to <br /> the requirements for floodplains, wetlands, and the Costal Barrier <br /> Resources System. <br /> (c) In terms of maps and descriptive information, a map showing a <br /> reasonable amount of detail, i.e., all roads, waterways, railroads, <br /> airports, etc., must be provided that clearly delineates the <br /> geographic area(s) to be served by the HPG program. Also, if the <br /> applicant has plans to concentrate HPG funds in a particular area or <br /> on a particular type of housing, associated general locations should <br /> be highlighted on the map. <br /> 3. Public Reaction <br /> (a) Describe any objections which have been made to the project. <br /> (b) If a public hearing has been held, attach a copy of the <br /> transcript or other official record of the hearing. If a public <br /> hearing has not been held, certify to that effect. <br /> (c) Indicate any other evidence of the communities awareness of the <br /> project such as newspaper articles or public notification. <br /> <br /> 4. Mitigation Measures <br /> Applicants will use this part to describe the mitigation measures <br /> that will be considered and/or used should any dwellings to be <br /> assisted be located within the environmentally sensitive or hazardous <br /> areas described by the applicant in response to section 2 of this <br /> exhibit. <br /> <br />
