The County expects to award <br /> a design, build, operate contract for a Waste-To-Energy facility to be built close to the current <br /> site of the Hilo Landfill on or before March 4, 2008. The award of the contract is subject to <br /> approval by the County Council of a resolution for a multi-year contract as the project would <br /> require encumbering funds from more than one fiscal year.
