If more space is <br /> needed, use a blank sheet and attach to this forth. <br /> Show <br /> The Community Violence Program Manager has the responsibility to oversee and/or to plan, develop, implement, and of time <br /> evaluate activities for one or more of the Office of the Prosecuting attorney's programs; develops, evaluates, revises, <br /> and implements policies, standards, operating procedures, goals, and objectives; coordinates work between County <br /> departments, community organizations, and service providers; provides advice and consultation to agency heads, <br /> supervisors, employees, and the public regarding community violence and the criminal justice system. <br /> Duties will include the following: <br /> Establish relationships with community leaders, government agencies, service providers and community members. 25 <br /> Convene regular strategic planning meetings in different Hawaii Island districts to ascertain community concerns about <br /> violence and the system's response to those concerns. Assess and identify issues. Obtain cooperation, input and <br /> support from private/government agencies and the community to develop short and long term goals and activities to <br /> improve response to community violence. Monitor progress, evaluate, and amend measurable objectives as <br /> necessary to promote an effective response to community violence. (1,2,3) <br /> Participate in related multidisciplinary or community organizations, such as the Family Violence Interagency 30 <br /> Committee, East Hawaii Coalition to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect, etc. Work cooperatively with other <br /> systems/agencies to identify and implement action steps. Follow up on progress within agencies and assist with <br /> reporting back to larger group. Coordinate and participate in community building and outreach activities, including <br /> coordinating community education and responses to critical situations.
