Compliance with article. <br /> Any permit, variance, or other approval issued pursuant to this article shall comply with all <br /> <br /> applicable requirements of this article. <br /> Section 3-19. Action on permit application. <br /> (a) Upon receiving an application for a sign permit, submitted pursuant to Article 1, the <br /> Building Division shall: <br /> (1) Review the permit application for completeness; <br /> (2) If the application is deficient, identify and notify the applicant of the deficiencies; <br /> and <br /> (3) If the application is complete, begin to process the application. <br /> (b) Upon receiving a complete application for a sign permit, the director of public works <br /> shall: <br /> (1) Issue the sign permit in writing, if: <br /> (A) After an examination of the plans, specifications, and other data, the director <br /> of public works finds that the sign(s) that is the subject of the application <br /> conforms in every respect with the requirements of this article and all <br /> applicable statutes and ordinances; <br /> (B) The application has been reviewed and approved by the electrical inspector, <br /> if required pursuant to section 3-15; <br /> (C) The application has been reviewed and approved by the planning director; <br /> and <br /> (D) Applicable sign permit fees have been received. <br /> (2) Reject the sign permit in writing, if the sign(s) that is the subject of the application <br /> fails in any way to conform with the requirements of this article. <br /> (c) In case of a rejection, the director of public works shall: <br /> (1) Specify in writing the section or sections of this article with which the sign(s) is <br /> inconsistent; and <br /> (2) Provide the applicant with information about the variance and appeal processes <br /> contained in this article. <br /> Section 3-20.
