grade after construction, exclusive of any filling, berming, mounding, or <br /> excavating solely for the purpose of locating the sign. <br /> <br /> (2) Marquee Sign. <br /> (A) One sign attached to the underside of a marquee for each business <br /> conducted on the premises. This marquee sign shall not exceed nine square <br /> feet in area and the lower edges must be at least seven and one-half feet <br /> above the ground; or <br /> (B) One sign attached to or otherwise displayed upon the face of the marquee. <br /> This sign shall not exceed a total sign area of two hundred and fifty square <br /> feet or fifteen percent of the marquee area on which it is displayed, <br /> whichever is less. <br /> (3) Projecting Sign. One projecting sign for each business conducted on the premises, <br /> stating the name and the nature of the business. The bottom edge of the sign shall <br /> be no lower than nine feet over any public way and shall extend no higher than six <br /> feet above the highest attachment point on the building or six feet above the <br /> lowest edge of the roof, whichever is higher. Maximum sign area shall not exceed <br /> thirty-two square feet. <br /> (4) Roof Sign. One roof sign, not exceeding thirty-two square feet in area and <br /> containing lettering not more than twenty-four inches in height, relating to <br /> business conducted on the premises; provided that the sign does not project above <br /> the roof ridge or on a flat roofed single storied building the sign does not extend <br /> more than three feet above the roof. <br /> (5) Wall Sign. <br /> (A) In RM, RCX, RA, and FA districts, one wall sign, not exceeding eight <br /> square feet in area, relating to a business conducted on the premises; <br /> (B) In A, IA, V, CN, and O districts, one wall sign, not exceeding thirty-two <br /> 11 <br /> <br />
