square feet in area, upon any wall of a structure on the premises related to <br /> business conducted on the premises; <br /> (C) In CG, CV, MCX, ML, and MG districts, one wall sign, which relates to <br /> business conducted on the premises, per side or rear of a building. Each <br /> side or rear wall sign shall neither exceed fifteen percent of the total <br /> exposed area of the wall, associated with the business on which the sign is <br /> displayed, nor exceed two hundred and fifty square feet, whichever is less. <br /> A sign on the face of the building for each business conducted on the <br /> premises shall not exceed fifteen percent or two hundred and fifty square <br /> feet, whichever is less, of the area of the face of the building actually <br /> occupied by the business. <br /> Division 5. Permits <br /> Section 3-13. Permits required. <br /> (a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person may install, construct, erect, <br /> alter, relocate, reconstruct, or cause to be installed, constructed, erected, altered, <br /> relocated, or reconstructed any sign without first having obtained a sign permit. <br /> (b) Sign permits shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the site during the progress of <br /> work. <br /> Section 3-14. Building permits. <br /> Persons applying for a building permit shall include sign applications for any signs that will be <br /> erected in conjunction with the improvements for which the building permit is requested. <br /> Section 3-15. Illuminated signs. <br /> A permit application for a sign which uses electrical wiring and connections or which is <br /> illuminated by an external source, shall be submitted to the electrical inspector. The electrical <br /> inspector shall examine the plans and specifications of all wiring and connections to determine if <br /> <br /> the plans and specifications comply with chapter 9, relating to electricity and chapter 14, article 9, <br /> 12 <br /> <br />
