Division 5. Permits <br /> Section 3-13. Permits required. <br /> (a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person may install, construct, erect, <br /> alter, relocate, reconstruct, or cause to be installed, constructed, erected, altered, <br /> relocated, or reconstructed any sign without first having obtained a sign permit. <br /> (b) Sign permits shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the site during the progress of <br /> work. <br /> Section 3-14. wilding permits. <br /> Persons applying f'or a building permit shall include sign applications for any signs that <br /> will be erected in conjunction with the improvements for which the building permit is requested. <br /> Section 3-15. Illuminated signs. <br /> A permit application for a sign which uses electrical wiring and connections or which is <br /> illuminated by an external source, shall be submitted to the electrical inspector. The electrical <br /> inspector shall examine the plans and specifications of all wiring and connections to determine if <br /> the plans and specifications comply with chapter 9, relating to electricity and chapter 14, article 9, <br /> relating to outdoor lighting. The electrical inspector shall approve the application if the plans and <br /> specifications comply with chapter 9 and chapter 14, article 9, or disapprove the application if <br /> <br /> noncompliance with these chapters is found. <br /> Section 3-16. Permit application. <br /> (a) Applications for sign permits, pursuant to article 1 of this chapter, shall be filed <br /> with the chief engineer. Applications shall contain at a minimum, the following: <br /> (1) The name and address of the owner of the property upon which the sign will be <br /> located, [and of) the owner of the sign, and the applicant, if different. <br /> t~ <br /> <br />
