Archaeology: According to letter dated January 22, 1992 from the Department of <br /> Land and Natural Resources State Historic Preservation Division, "We believe that this <br /> <br /> specific parcel is not in the district (Waimea Agricultural Field System Historic <br /> <br /> District) and is unlikely to contain significant historic sites. The proposed action <br /> should have 'no effect' on such sites." <br /> <br /> 21. Surrounding Land: Lands to the north and east are zoned A-40a. The properties <br /> along Mamalahoa Highway, directly across and southeast of the subject property are <br /> <br /> zoned A-5a and A-3a. The properties located one mile east toward Honokaa are zoned <br /> A-3a. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 22. Roads: Access is off Mamalahoa Highway, a County of Hawaii roadway with a <br /> <br /> 60-foot wide right-of-way and a 20-foot wide paved roadway surface. <br /> 23. Water: Water is provided by an existing 12-inch waterline that fronts the subject <br /> <br /> property. <br /> <br /> 24. Wastewater: According to the Department of Health, the property is situated within <br /> the Critical Wastewater Disposal Area and therefore, the applicant would be required <br /> <br /> to dispose wastewater into septic tank system. <br /> 25. Utilities: Electrical and telephone service are or will be made available to the <br /> <br /> property. <br /> AGENCIES' COMMENTS <br /> <br /> 26. Police Department (March 4, 1998 Memo): <br /> "We have reviewed the above-referenced change of zone application and do not believe <br /> <br /> the request will negatively impact traffic safety or police services in the area." <br /> <br /> 27.
