OTOMO CHANGE OF ZONE APPLICATION (REZ 08-000080) RAYMOND and JANE OTOMO have submitted an application for a Change of Zone from Single-Family Residential - 15,000 square feet (RS-15) to Single-Family Residential - 10,000 square feet (RS-10) for approximately 22,366 square feet of land. The property is located on the south side of Puualaea Homestead Road, near the intersection with Spencer Road, in Manowaiopae Homestead, North Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 3-6-008:002. REQUEST 1. Proposed Development: The applicants are requesting a Change of Zone from Single- Family Residential - 15,000 square feet (RS-15) to Single-Family Residential - 10,000 square feet (RS-10} to subdivide the property into two lots. One lot will be approximately 10,701 square feet in size and will retain an existing single-family dwelling. The applicants intend to continue to own this lot. The second lot will consist of approximately 11,665 square feet, which will include a 1,399 square foot, 15-foot wide access easement. The applicants intend to build a new single-family dwelling on the second lot and convey the lot to their son. Upon approval of the change of zone, the applicants will apply for subdivision approval within one year.
