<br /> <br /> t <br /> <br /> <br /> ACCOUNT CLERK -3- <br /> <br /> <br /> Knowledge of: arithmetic; standard accounting codes, classifications, and <br /> terminology pertinent to accounts maintenance operations; standard office practices <br /> and procedures as they relate to the processing and recording of transactions and <br /> accounting information; business English, grammar, spelling, and word usage: filing <br /> methods and systems; operation and maintenance of standard office machines. <br /> Ability to: maintain fiscal accounts and records; detect errors in posting and <br /> calculations; prepare correspondence and fiscal summaries, reports, and statements; <br /> interpret fiscal records and data; learn, understand, and apply applicable laws, rules, <br /> and collective bargaining provisions to work processes; make arithmetical <br /> computations; compare names and numbers; operate and maintain standard office <br /> machines and equipment, including electronic computer equipment and peripherals; <br /> give and follow oral and written instructions; establish effective working relationships <br /> with others; and for some positions, assign, supervise, and review the work of others. <br /> <br /> Physical Requirements: <br /> Persons seeking appointment to positions in this class must meet the health and <br /> physical condition standards deemed necessary and proper to perform the essential <br /> functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. <br /> <br /> Physical Effort Grouping: Light <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This is an amendment to the specification for the class ACCOUNT <br /> CLERK which was approved on September 3, 1957, and amended <br /> on May 9, 1967. <br /> <br /> <br /> APPROVED: May 14, 2008 Michael R.
