<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ACCOUNT CLERK -2- <br /> <br /> <br /> • Records labor time or equipment rental fees for various jobs. <br /> <br /> • Prepares and processes various payroll deduction and withholding forms. <br /> <br /> • Assists in forecasting expenses and in compiling statistical data for budget requests. <br /> • Sets up and maintains paper and electronic accounts office files. <br /> <br /> • Maintains inventory control records. <br /> <br /> • Maintains personnel records, files and rosters. <br /> <br /> • May process human resource requests, including but not limited to new hires, <br /> transfers, terminations, etc.; provides information and processes benefits such as <br /> retirement, flex spending, medical, etc. <br /> <br /> • Assists in preparing contracts; processes and/or circulates for approval. <br /> • May review the accounts clerical work of others, calling attention to use of <br /> incorrect procedures or methods or correcting entries or results. <br /> <br /> • Composes routine correspondence requiring specific knowledge of methods, <br /> procedures, policies or other information. <br /> <br /> • Responds to basic inquiries from public, customers, vendors, and/or employees in <br /> accordance with prescribed procedures regarding specific accounts or other <br /> related information. <br /> <br /> • Operates standard office machines including calculators, scanners, copiers, <br /> typewriters, adding machines, and electronic computer equipment and. <br /> peripherals. <br /> • Performs other related duties as assigned. <br /> <br /> <br /> Minimum Qualification Requirements: <br /> <br /> Training and Experience: A combination of education and experience <br /> substantially equivalent to graduation from high school and two (2) years of account <br /> recordkeeping work that involved the preparation, review, and processing of <br /> accounts payables, accounts receivables, and/or employee payroll. <br /> Selective Certification: Specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities may be <br /> required to perform the duties of certain positions. For such positions, certification may <br /> be restricted to eligibles who possess the pertinent experience and/or training <br /> required to perform the duties of the position. Requests for selective certification must <br /> show the relationship between the specialized training and/or experience requested <br /> and the duties of the position to be filled. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br />
