This resolution is prepared to comply with Section <br /> 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, which requires the county departments obtain the consent of the <br /> County Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments. Since the County <br /> of Hawaii Planning Department receives funds from the Department of Business, Economic <br /> Development & Tourism on an annual basis, the draft resolution authorizes the Office of the <br /> Mayor to enter into future agreements as funds are made available. <br /> <br /> Your favorable consideration on this draft resolution will be greatly appreciated.
