Bill No. 377 <br />FC 363-01 <br />Page -2- <br />Also at the October 21, 2008 Committee on Finance meeting, Council Member Brenda Ford requested that a <br />correction in the funding amount for the Citizen Corps Program be made, and submittal of a corrected copy of <br />the breakdown be given to the Council. Director Mento informed Ms. Ford that the correction will be made as <br />requested, and a corrected copy will be submitted to the Council. This measure was postponed to November 6, <br />2008, per advice from County Clerk Jarman, pending receipt of the corrected amounts. <br />Communication No. 1506.2 from Civil Defense Administrator Quince Mento, dated <br />October 27, 2008, submits a Detailed Budget Worksheet, which states the correct amounts for the FY 2008 <br />Homeland Security Grant. <br />Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor <br />is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for State Homeland Security Program and the <br />Citizen Corps Program. <br />Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 377, and recommends it pass <br />first reading. <br />la <br /> AYES NOES A&E EX <br />FORD X <br />HIGH X <br />HOFFMANN X <br />IKEDA X <br />JACOBSON X <br />NAEOLE X <br />PILAGO X <br />YACONG X <br />YOSHIMOTO X <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />ON FINANCE <br />-~ <br />DOMINIC YE <br />FC <br />
