If approved by the legislative bodies of all <br /> jurisdictions, the increased costs for this fiscal year <br /> will be covered by the Provision for Compensation <br /> Adjustment appropriation in the current budget. <br /> Comm. 641: CHARTER AMENDMENT ESTABLISHING A NEW DEPARTMENT - <br /> (Bill 181) DEPARTMENT OF DATA SYSTEMS <br /> From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated December 16, <br /> 1997, transmitting the above bill. The County <br /> currently handles its data processing concerns through <br /> a division within the Department of Finance. Service <br /> demands by various departments and agencies have <br /> expanded beyond the Department of Finance. The charter <br /> proposal to establish a Data Systems Department will <br /> insure that the County will be able to develop its data <br /> systems in a timely and efficient manner in keeping <br /> with industry standards and practices. <br /> <br />
