In order to encumber these CIP funds, the <br />State Department of Budget and Finance required a County fund match of $500,000, <br />which was appropriated by Ordinance No. 07-43. Since that appropriation, the County has <br />procured and encumbered planning, design and construction work; subsequently <br />encumbering all of the State CIP funds, along with some federal funds received for the <br />project. However, this project's prior appropriation lapsed on June 30, 2009 and should be <br />re-appropriated. <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the West Hawaii Emergency Shelter Project- <br />County Match for $492,905.66 to this fiscal year's Capital Budget. <br />If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of Housing and <br />Community Development. <br />~~~~ <br />Nancy E.
