BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Prosecuting Attorney's Office was been awarded $80,000 from the State of Hawaii Department of <br /> Transportation to implement a project that includes: assignment of a deputy to be the Statewide Traffic <br /> Safety Resource Prosecutor, providing statewide training for police and prosecutors, and for participation at <br /> monthly statewide traffic commanders meetings. <br /> <br /> In fiscal year 2009 we had $50,000 appropriated.
