These funds, derived from the <br /> American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), will be used to provide assistance <br /> services to victims of felony and misdemeanor violent crimes. These services include <br /> counseling, referrals to community agencies, assistance with judicial proceedings, and <br /> administration of funds used to provide direct services to victims. <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State <br /> of Hawai'i Department of the Attorney General for the ARRA funding. <br /> <br /> Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating <br /> the $99,567 into the Victims of Crime Act - ARRA account. <br /> <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nancy E.
