On behalf of the County of Hawai'i and the <br />previous administration, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney had submitted an <br />application for and was awarded federal funds for this grant by the Alcohol and Drug <br />Abuse Division of the State Department of Health. By mutual agreement, the Mayor's <br />Office will assume control and responsibility of the project which is intended to assess, <br />build capacity, and plan for implementation of evidence based underage drinking <br />prevention activities in Hawai'i County. <br /> <br />The SPF-SIG is included in the last and the current fiscal years' approved operating <br />budgets.
