REQUEST: <br /> <br />Requesting a resolution to create a Program Manager position for the Office of Management. This exempt <br />temporary position is fully funded by the Hawai'i Strategic Prevention Framework-State Incentive Grant, from <br />the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. <br /> <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br />The County of Hawaii was awarded federal funds for the Hawaii Strategic Prevention Framework-State <br />Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG) by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division of the Department of Health. This project <br />is intended to assess, build capacity, and plan for implementation of evidence based underage drinking <br />prevention activities in Hawaii County. The project scope calls for the creation of a coordinator (Program <br />Manager) position. Grant funding for this project was originally placed in the Office of the Prosecuting <br />Attorney's FY2008-09 and FY2009-10 approved operating budget.
