The property is located on the <br />northeast comer of the Kino' ole Street and Kamana Street intersection, Waiakea Houselots 2nd <br />series, Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: 2-2-22: 8. <br />PROPOSED ACTION <br />1. Request: Change of zone from RS-lO to CG-20 to renovate an existing vacant single- <br />family dwelling for a residence, and conversion into an office building in the future. A <br />portion of the site will be improved to provide employee parking for existing medical <br />clinic and optometry offices close to the subject property. Reasons for the Request: The applicant has received inquiries from various businesses <br />including real estate, insurance and accounting, regarding the use of the property for office <br />purposes. Other inquiries include the use of the site for employee parking for the Hilo Bay <br />Clinic and Hawaiian Eye Center offices located nearby. As such, coincident with the <br />single-family residential use of the property, the applicant would like to set aside some <br />parking for these uses. <br />3. Timetable for Construction: Construction to commence this year with occupancy of the <br />residence and office use five years thereafter. <br />4.
