F <br />The State's priorities for the HOPWA Program are <br />as follows: <br />HOPWA PRIORITY 1: Assistance to HIV/AIDS <br />persons and their families with obtaining and <br />retaining permanent housing by providing <br />rental assistance, short-term grants for <br />rent, mortgage or utilities to avert eviction <br />and homelessness. <br />Maintain and expand the availability of <br />current.transitional and emergency housing <br />opportunities through financial assistance by <br />providing grants to persons with HIV/AIDS who <br />are in need of temporary housing and <br />emergency housing. <br />HOPWA PRIORITY 2: Increase,the availability <br />of assisted living or supported housing <br />resources, through case management evaluation <br />to coordinate and provide in-home services <br />such as'chore and housekeeping services, <br />assistance with activities of -'daily living, <br />personal care attendants, and social <br />activities. <br />Increase the availability of long -germ care, <br />skilled nursing -facilities and hospice care <br />for persons with HIV/AIDS. <br />e. OTHER SOURCES OF FUNDS <br />The other'funding resources include funds from <br />private developers; State Home Revolving Fund; <br />State Dwelling Unit Revolving Fund; State and <br />Federal Low-income Housing Tax Credits; State and <br />County CIP funds; and Other State assistance, <br />including Grants -in Aid for acquisition, <br />rehabilitation, new construction, Rental <br />Assistance, Rental Housing Trust Fund and Rental <br />Housing System (first in the U.S.) using tax-' <br />exempt revenue bonds issued by the,Housing Finance <br />V - 6 98 Consol/3-9-98 <br />
