COUNTY OF HAWAII'„ 0, STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 328 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO WAIPIO VALLEY ACCESS ROAD <br /> Be it Ordained by the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> SECTION 1. Purpose - The Council finds that the width, curves and grade of the <br /> Waipio Valley Access Road between the Waipio Valley Lookout and the valley floor makes the road <br /> unsuitable for certain large vehicles or those vehicles not equipped with all wheel drive. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24 of the Hawaii County Code (1995 edition), as <br /> amended, is hereby further amended by adding a new Article to be appropriately numbered and to <br /> read as follows: <br /> ARTICLE <br /> Waipio Valley Access Road <br /> SECTION 24 - .1 Definitions - For the purposes of this article. unless <br /> otherwise indicated. the following definitions shall apply: <br /> "Large Capacity Passenger Vehicles" means aqy motor vehicl w ith a veh icle <br /> weight. as indicated on the vehicles certificate of registration. in excess of 15.000 <br /> pounds and which is designed. constructed. and used pnmarily for the carriage of <br /> passengers. <br /> "All Wheel Drive Vehicle" means any motor vehicle in which power can be <br /> applied to all axles <br /> -1- <br />
