Res. 353 -10 <br /> June 21, 2010 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney <br /> The current Waimea office space for the Prosecutor is approximately 600 square feet and <br /> contains facilities for an attorney, clerical staff and a victim counselor. The space does not <br /> provide the privacy that is necessary for interviews and counseling. <br /> A larger space in the same center is available and would provide the ability to separate <br /> victim and prosecutor services into private offices. The proposed area to be leased would <br /> include an office outside of the secure area that would be used by County staff doing <br /> business in Waimea. <br /> The current lease rates being offered are very favorable and the space provided by the <br /> two leases will benefit the Police, Prosecutor and the public by providing appropriate <br /> space for operations and additional services that were not previously available to the <br /> community. <br /> Thank you for this opportunity to comment on the referenced resolution. <br /> Nancy Crawford <br /> Director of Finance <br />
