REQUEST: <br />An ordinance amending Ordinance 10 -60, The Capital Budget, by adding an appropriation for <br />Kapiolani Street Extension, Mohouli Street to Lanikaula Street in the amount of $600,000.00. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />SIGNED: <br />This project is to extend Kapiolani Street from Mohouli Street to Lanikaula Street to <br />enhance traffic, pedestrian, ADA, and bicycle circulation, between the University of <br />Hawaii at Hilo and vicinity and downtown Hilo. The $600,000 appropriation is needed <br />for the planning, survey and design portion.
