COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />rt OF•M/.,�r <br />RESOLUTION NO. 37 11 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br />YEAR AND MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR LEASE OF <br />TWO HIGH VOLUME MULTIFUNCTION COPY MACHINES FOR THE OFFICE OF <br />THE COUNTY CLERK- SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION. <br />WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the Hawaii County Charter requires that any contract, <br />lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year <br />and more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Support Services Division of the Office of the County Clerk <br />(hereinafter "Support Services ") is responsible for reproducing, binding, and mailing documents <br />for all County departments and agencies; and <br />WHEREAS, Support Services currently utilizes two 4110 model copiers that are both <br />five (5) years old; and <br />WHEREAS, each copier has produced over 10,000,000 copies; and <br />WHEREAS, both machines are experiencing mechanical failures, creating down time <br />that disables Support Services from operating at maximum efficiency; and <br />WHEREAS, the combined monthly payment for both copy machines currently utilized <br />by Support Services is $4,152; and <br />WHEREAS, any new copy machines leased by the County will be more efficient and <br />have greater capabilities than the 4110 model copiers currently utilized by Support Services; and <br />WHEREAS, Support Services will seek to lease the copy machines through the <br />procurement process; and <br />WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds budgeted in the current fiscal year to cover the <br />anticipated obligations of the County under the lease agreement; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />That pursuant to Section 10 -11 of the Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a multi -year lease agreement for two high volume <br />
