BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The State of Hawai'i, Department of Transportation approved the federal funded grant entitled Hawai'i <br /> Fire Department Extrication Training to the County of Hawaii for a total of $24,000. The grant funds will allow <br /> the Hawai'i Fire Department to utilize nationally recognized trainers to instruct fire department personnel in <br /> the most up to date techniques of vehicle extrication.
