Work Item Information <br /> A. Objectives: <br /> Briefly describe the objectives of the proposed work item. <br /> The County of Hawai'i's Traffic Division will implement an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in Hawai'i County to <br /> enhance the County's ability to deliver transportation services and improve the efficiency of the existing surface <br /> transportation on the island of Hawaii. The ITS project will include technologies that enhance traveler safety and <br /> convenience, improve traffic flow, reduce fuel consumption, save travelers' time and support emergency response <br /> including Civil Defense operations. <br /> EXHIBIT "A" <br />
