REQUEST: <br />To create an account entitled 'Working Towards Crime Lab Accreditation" for $13,300.00 under object codes <br />115 for $11,100 and 480 for $2,200. <br />To enter into a contract with the State Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice <br />Assistance Division under the Working Towards Crime Lab Accreditation Grant. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The State Department of the Attorney General Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division is providing <br />a grant for Crime Lab Accreditation training, equipment, and services to increase the overall efficiency and <br />safety of forensic services. Equipment included are kevlar fiber fill for gun box to replace the current box <br />which is over 30 year old, latent fingerprint digital imaging computer upgrade to increase the timeliness of <br />forensic services and handheld laser measurer for crime scene diagrams /documentations.
