I -., <br /> B Haost01.emm-11/26/96 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> BACKGROUND REPORT <br /> HAO STREET HUI <br /> CHANGE OF ZONE APPLICATION NO. 96-6 <br /> HAO STREET HUI, has submitted an application for a Change of Zone for <br /> approximately 22.065 acres of land by changing the district classification from Agricultural <br /> (A-20a) to Agricultural (A-3a). The property is located in the Kaloko Mauka Subdivision at <br /> the 2,500-foot elevation and on the north side of Hao Street at Kaloko, North Kona, Hawaii, <br /> TMK: 7-3-25: 4. <br /> GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> 1. Owner: Hao Street Hui, a Hawaii General Partnership is the fee owner of the <br /> subject property. <br /> PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> 2. Request: The owner wishes to subdivide the property into a total of six lots in sizes <br /> of 3 and 4 acres. <br /> 3. Objectives: "The subject 22-acre parcel is owned by a local hui with the plan of <br /> creating six agricultural lots with each partner to own. We believe the area is well <br /> suited for low density uses combining homes with limited grazing, a variety of <br /> agriculture, home gardening, wildlife habitat, and forested areas." <br /> 4. Additional Information: The applicant has submitted the following in support of the <br /> request: (See Exhibit A - Applicant's Change of Zone Application) <br /> DESCRIPTION OF COUNTY & STATE PLANS <br /> 5. SLU: Agricultural. <br /> 6. GP LUPAG MAP: Orchards. <br /> 7. Hawaii State Plan Consistency: Economic objectives and policies. <br /> 9. Zoning: Agricultural 3-acre (A-3a). <br /> 10.
