Council Chairman J Yoshimoto and Members of the County Council Page 2 February 15, 2013 o Aaron N. Nagata (4-year term): Mr. Nagata is a lifelong Kona resident. He is a graduate of Konawaena High School and Willamette University (Oregon) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Nagata has been employed by the State of Hawaii's Department of Human Services as a social worker since 1987. He was the head football coach at Konawaena High School from 2006 to 2011, a past Parent Teacher's Association President and a past executive board member for the Alzheimer's Association Kona Chapter. Mr. Nagata is presently an Interdisciplinary team member for the Big Island's elderly population and participated in the community's regional park (Old Airport) planning. He has been active with various youth organizations such as the Big Island Pop Warner Association, American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), and the Kona Pony Baseball. His hobbies include pig hunting, fishing, four-wheeling (ATV), professional photography and golf. o Elaine Fukushima (4-Year Term): Ms. Fukushima is a 30-year resident of Kailua-Kona. She has worked for the past 2 %years as an estate manager for Vulcan Personal Services and prior to that as a personal assistant for the Troxel Family Office. Ms. Fukushima has served as the West Hawaii representative on the Community Based Economic Development Council, and in 1996 ran as the Democratic nominee for the State House.
