BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Department of Parks and Recreation requests funding for the following expenditures: <br /> 1. Iron Works Kam Ave parking lot to Pauahi St. 100 trees @ $40 $ 4,000 <br /> 2. Pauahi St to commuter parking lot 175 trees @ $40 $ 7,000 <br /> 3. Mooheau Parking lot to Waianuenue Ave 100 trees @ $40 $ 4,000 <br /> 4. Ahalanui Park (Puna) 250 trees @ $40 $10,000 <br /> During this fiscal year parks maint tree trimmers have encountered several emergency projects due to <br /> fallen trees form high winds. The crew has also been short staffed part of the year.
