FC -20 Page 3 October 1, 2013 <br />Comm. 435: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -65, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING <br />(Bill 133) BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING <br />JUNE 30, 2014 <br />From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated September 13, 2013. Appropriates <br />revenues of $10,000 in the Fund Balance Reserved for Liquor Control account; and <br />appropriates same to the Public Programs account. These funds will be used to support <br />the Mayor's Traffic Safety Program and to assist the costs of traveling incurred by The <br />Pantry's Friday Night Crew Youth Group, which has played a key role in the <br />prevention of underage drinking and drug use in Hawaii County for the past several <br />years. <br />Comm. 436: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -65, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING <br />(Bill 134) BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING <br />JUNE 30. 2014 <br />From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated September 13, 2013. Increases <br />revenues of $12,500 in the Federal Grants - Hawai`i County Police Department <br />(HCPD) Roadblock Program account, and appropriates same to the HCPD Roadblock <br />Program account. The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe <br />Community Program is providing additional funding of $12,500 to the HCPD <br />Roadblock program, bringing the total grant appropriation to $199,867. The grant <br />funds will be used to allow the HCPD to conduct additional Driving Under the <br />Influence (DUI) checkpoints during the National DUI Campaign (August 16 through <br />September 2, 2013). <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities.
