Request: The applicant is requesting a change of zone from an Agricultural 3-acre <br /> (A-3a) and an Agricultural 1-acre(A-la) zoned district to a Family Agricultural 1-acre <br /> (FA-1a)zoned district for 3.012 acres of land. <br /> 2. Reason for Request: The applicant is requesting the change of zone in order to <br /> subdivide the property into 3 lots. According to the applicant, the lots are intended to be <br /> conveyed to the applicant's children. Upon approval of the change of zone,the applicant <br /> plans on having the land subdivided by early or middle of next year(2015). County Zoning: Agricultural-3 acres(A-3a) and Agricultural-1 acre(A-1a) <br /> 5. GP LUPAG Map: Low Density Urban. <br /> 6. Hilo Community Development Plan (CDP): The Hilo Community Development Plan <br /> adopted by Planning Commission Resolution No. 1 on May 21, 1975 identifies the area <br /> as A-3a and A-la, and as an area for alternate residential expansion. <br /> 7. Special Management Area(SMA): The property is not located within the Special <br /> Management Area(SMA) and is approximately four(4)miles from the coastline. <br /> DESCRIPTION OF SUBJECT PROPERTIES AND SURROUNDING AREA <br /> 8. Subject Property: The subject property is trapezoidal in shape and is 3.012 acres in <br /> size. The property has been previously bulldozed and cleared.
