U.S.D.A.Soil Survey: The Papal extremely stony muck(rPAE)soil series consists of <br /> well-drained,thin,extremely stony organic soils over fragmental A`a. Permeability is <br /> rapid, runoff is slow and the erosion hazard is slight. This soil type is used for woodland, <br /> pasture, orchards and truck crops. <br /> 13. Flood Zone: The subject property is in Zone "X", which is an area determined by <br /> FEMA to be outside the 500-year flood plain. <br /> 14. Flora/Fauna Resources: No professional surveys were conducted of the property, as the <br /> property has been developed with a dwelling since 1959. The existing dwelling is <br /> located on the front(north)third of the property. There is sod from the street to the home <br /> with pineapples, hapu`u and various flowers. Scattered in locations around the house are <br /> various trees, including citrus,lychee avocado and banana. The southern portion of the <br /> property consists of revitalized avocado, various fruit and other trees. Due to the history <br /> of extensive land disturbance, it is highly unlikely that the property contains habitat for <br /> any federally or State listed candidate or proposed threatened or endangered plant or <br /> animal species. <br /> 15. Archaeological/Historical Resources: A formal archaeological survey was not <br /> conducted because the property has been developed with a dwelling since 1959 and <br /> extensively cultivated since then. Therefore, it is unlikely that any surface or subsurface <br /> archaeological resources remain on the property. <br /> 16. Cultural or Native Gathering Rights: There is no evidence of any traditional and <br /> customary Native Hawaiian rights being practiced on the site, nor existence of any known <br /> valued cultural,historical or native resources in the area. <br /> 17. Public Access: There is no record of a designated public access to the shoreline or <br /> mountain areas that traverses the property. <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 18. Access: Access will be from Makalika Street, which is a 20-foot wide paved County <br /> roadway with grass shoulders within a 50-foot wide right-of-way. <br /> 19. Water: County water is available to the property via a 12-inch waterline within <br /> Makalika Street. The property is currently served by one 5/8-inch water meter and the <br /> -3- <br />
