Archaeological/Cultural/Historical Resources: No professional archaeological and <br /> cultural study was conducted of the property because it has been developed since the <br /> 1950's with a residence that was recently demolished. There are no known historic sites <br /> on the property as listed on the State or National Register of Historic Places. <br /> 13. Public Access: There is no public access to the mountains or the shoreline that traverses <br /> the property. <br /> 14. Traffic: According to the Institute of Transportation Engineers Trip Generation Manual, <br /> a 3,000 square foot general office building would generate about 5 trips during the a.m. <br /> and p.m. peak hour periods. <br /> UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 15. Access: Access to the property is from Kilauea Avenue, which is a two-lane paved <br /> County roadway with a northbound center left-turn lane fronting the subject property and <br /> grass shoulders, all within a 60-foot wide right-of-way. The General Plan identifies <br /> Kilauea Avenue as a secondary arterial street which requires a minimum right-of-way <br /> width of 80 feet,thus a 10-foot wide future road widening strip along the property <br /> frontage would be required to meet the General Plan standard. The Department of Public <br /> Works (DPW)recommends improvements along the property frontage of Kilauea <br /> Avenue to include curb, gutter, sidewalk and pavement widening within the future road <br /> widening setback. Due to the subject property's close proximity to the Kilauea Avenue- <br /> Puainako Street intersection, DPW also recommends access be limited to right-in and <br /> right-out restricted by a physical barrier. <br /> 16. Water: County water is available from an existing 10-inch waterline fronting the <br /> property along Kilauea Avenue. The 10-inch waterline is capable of providing the <br /> required pressure of 2,000 gallons per minute of water flow for fire protection for <br /> commercial zoning. The Department of Water Supply will determine the appropriate <br /> -3- <br />
