Safety Coordinator 1988—1990 <br /> County of Hawaii Hilo Hawai'i 96720 <br /> Responsibilities for this position included developing and coordinating safety policies, <br /> activities and training for the County of Hawaii workforce for approximately 1,800 <br /> employees. Duties included analyzing and maintaining accident reports and records, <br /> conducting safety inspections,approving purchase of safety related equipment, <br /> monitoring County of Hawaii compliance with State Statures relative to safety, and <br /> investigation and processing of all workers'compensation claims. Oversaw preparation <br /> of workers'compensation cases for administrative hearings and determination of <br /> appropriate benefits, awards and settlements. <br /> Results: Fiscal year 1989--1990 saw a 3.2%reduction in workers' compensations costs. <br /> Employee Relations Associate 1984—1985 <br /> Hilo Coast Processing Company Pepeekeo, Hawaii <br /> Responsibilities for this position included design and implementation of safety and <br /> health training programs for workforce of approximately 500 employees. Investigated <br /> and processed all industrial accident and liability claims.
