WHEREAS, BIRCD is requesting funds to assist with expenses related to the Malama <br /> `Ohi`a project, which includes the cost for equipment, supplies, fees for the facility test site, <br /> compensation fees for professional services provided by the team leaders, and reimbursement for <br /> food and travel; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Research and Development to provide a grant to the Big Island Resource Conservation and <br /> Development Council to assist with expenses related to the Malama `Ohi`a project. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $5,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.161.5161.22 Department of Research and Development $5,000 <br /> Agriculture R&D OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
