SECTION 1 of Bill 29 is amended to read as follows: <br /> "SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Article 4, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br /> amended) is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as <br /> follows: <br /> "Section 2-_. Temporary positions; notification to the council. <br /> (a) The director of[finance] human resources shall notify the council about any <br /> person employed under a contract for less than ninety days if: <br /> (1) The salary is [$5,000] $2,500 or more per month; and <br /> (2) The temporary position is unrelated to a state of emergency <br /> declaration. <br /> (b) .
